Having made the final shortlist in the Claims Technology Initiative of the Year category, Validus was named runner-up to winners Sequel Business Solutions.
The awards, organised by Insurance Times, were held at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London.
Mike Srokowski, Validus CEO, said: “Sadly, we were pipped at the post but we were delighted to be shortlisted among some very strong peers who have a good pedigree in this sector. Our congratulations go to Sequel.”
Validus entered its verify™ platform into a category where judges were looking for “companies that are leading the way in supplying claims technology solutions to the insurance sector. Entrants must demonstrate that their technology has achieved positive results for a company’s overall business strategy by successfully delivering a new service, product and/or initiative during the past year.”
At the same awards, Ageas and Aviva, who were the first insurers to use verify ™, were named winners in the category for Insurer Claims Initiative of the Year – Personal Lines. “We are pleased that the work done by Ageas and Aviva using verify™ was recognised by this success,” said Mike.
Saxon East, Insurance Times editor, said: “Whether it be a town that is flooded or a damaged vehicle, claims service is the point at which customers judge the insurance industry. In this vitally important part of insurance there is plenty of outstanding customer service work going on every day up and down the UK. Outstanding customer service that comes from many different groups of people.
“There are those on the frontline who have direct contact with the customers in their hour of need. At Insurance Times, we also recognise there are plenty of unsung heroes who work behind-the-scenes in areas such as technology and administration to ensure the customer gets the best service possible. All this hard work and innovation that contributes to customer satisfaction is celebrated in the Claims Excellence Awards.”
- Validus is also shortlisted for this year’s Post Magazine Claims Awards in the category of “Claims Technology Partner of the Year”. The awards will take place on 2 June at the Royal Garden Hotel in London. Find out more.
